ABOUT ME

Well, I randomly decided one day that I didn't want to miss the opportunity of going to school away from home, so I picked a place I knew little about, packed up and moved to St. John's Newfoundland. It has all the rugged coastline and ocean that a girl from an island could ask for! With that, and all the amazing people that I met there- I don't think it could have worked out better! I'm back in Victoria now though- and would LOVE to meet some more people here!!
I am a fan of the sciences, and graduated with my BSc in Behavioural Neuroscience at MUN and am back at school again now for Midwifery.
I'm trying to offset this science thing a bit by getting in touch with my creative side... it's a work in progress! I've started making and selling soaps and lip balms etc, which has been really fun! I'm outgoing, love meeting new people, and learning new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had someone stay on my couch for a month from a different travel site, then we drove across Canada together. I've also surfed with many hosts across Canada, in the US and have hosted people in St. John's!
If you're in Victoria- (either traveling or living here) send me a message if you want to meet up! Everyone I've met through CouchSurfing has been amazing, and our meetings are always too short- so it would be lovely to meet some people that will be around for a while too! If you're really stuck for a place to stay, let me know and I can try to help you out!

I picked up Eats Shoots & Leaves off of a hostel's free book shelf, and feel like the biggest nerd laughing out loud over a book about grammar (but it's also so much more!) If you're at all the type to cringe when people mix up their "they're, there and theirs'" then give this book a shot! It's hilarious.

Sitting on the edge of Harwood's Hole in New Zealand, it's hard to even describe the feeling you get from that vast unknown below. Awe-inspiring and humbling.

I had the amazing opportunity of living with a family and going to school in Thailand for a summer in high school. Great way to experience a new culture!

Drove across Canada from St. John's Newfoundland to Victoria BC. Somehow the car actually made it!!

I can show you how to make soap if you're interested. I am working on learning the guitar and ukulele, so if you don't know anything about either of those, I could teach a little, and if you DO know more about them, then I'd love to learn!
I could probably whip out some science facts, vegetarian cooking tips or point you in the right direction of a good second hand store!
And if you're staying with us in St. John's- my roommate will happily read a story aloud if you're in to that. It's a really lovely thing, being read to.
