ABOUT ME

28 year old from Seattle, Washington, USA travelling through Europe by bicycle in the fall and winter of 2016. I mostly cook and eat vegetarian food (but I will eat almost anything) and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, skiing and cycle touring. I believe in sustainable travel and try to minimize my carbon footprint while travelling; I try to eat organic local foods and travel by bicycle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part of travelling for me is connecting with new people and enjoying a cultural exchange either through a shared meal, conversation or hosting experience. I prefer the human experience of staying with a local rather than staying in a sterile hostel room.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekked for three weeks during the monsoon in the Everest region in Nepal with no guide or porter.

12,000 meters of climbing and 12,000 meters of descending in in 200 kilometers with no running water or electricity!
