ABOUT ME

I'm a creative lady with big plans and bigger dreams. I fancy myself a writer, a scribe of conversations, passed-along stories and the collective experience. I feel beauty in my belly when I see a pretty piece of art, a street corner scene, a thrift-store artifact, a big solemn tree. Anything, really, can trigger a sudden response of "ohhhh yeah," and a smile. I'm always looking for adventure, I'm amused by simple things, and potential makes me excited in a gassy, leaky-bowels sort of way. Which is good. I think.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CouchSurfing has treated me very well over the years. I don't think there's a better way to get to know a place than by inhabiting a local person's home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been shown unparalleled hospitality by people who have opened their doors to a so-called "stranger." I have not yet hosted anyone from the site, but plan to in the future.

Musica, film e libri

I like dancing to anything with a beat, like ska (of the '60s Jamaican variety, preferably) or... anything. I like music. I don't need to know who sings it or plays it, if it's new or if it's old, if they've got a myspace or if I can be a fan on facebook, I just wanna forget myself in that riddem man! Books wise, I love a lot of stuff. Emily Dickinson is my homegirl for real. Leonard Cohen is my unrequited love. And Aldous Huxley can come back from the dead and do whatever he wants to me. I am not opposed to zombie sex. William Blake too. Blake can have my body.

A giant elephant on a flatbed truck zooming aside my bus on a dirt road in India. We made eye contact. It was hot.

I know how to make books. That's right. Hardcover books. I am working on my own at the moment and plan to self-publish. I would be happy to show anyone how to make anything book-related. I also took a year-long yoga teacher's training course so if you've got sore muscles, I've got the stretches!
