ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year college graduate who studied Biology. I'm really outgoing and love to meet new people. I traveled around Europe for the a couple of summers ago and then worked in Italy as an English tutor. After graduation, I moved to Mallorca, Spain to work as a Language Assistant, teaching English in a primary school! Traveling is a passion of mine and living in Spain give me the opportunity to spread my wings a bit more and see a lot of Europe. Now, I've moved to Washington, DC, where I hope to start a public health career and set off for another adventure in the big city. I really love seeing new things and learning about other cultures so I'm really looking forward to my future adventures.

I read "Our Town" five years ago in high school and still feel the impact of this quote today. I often find myself flying through life, doing one thing after another, and it's my person goal to try and realize life and slow down. It's the small things in life that always turn out to be so meaningful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've loved it so far! My first experience was when I moved to Spain. Couchsurfing really helped ease me into the move. Having someone there that was native to the city and was there to give me advice was amazing!

Interests

Meeting new people, doing something I've never done before, drinking coffee, talking, going to the theater, dancing till my feet hurt, cooking and eating good food, photography, working out, spending time with my family, being with kids.

I love the movies Amelie, An Education, Ace Ventura, UP, Walle, Finding Neverland

My favorite books are Their Eyes Were Watching God, Redeeming Love, and the Harry Potter series

I'm really like a wide range of music, but a few favorite are One Republic, Mika, Passion Pit, The Script, & Vampire Weekend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rushing Franklin Street for the UNC National Championship in 2009! Moving to Spain. Teaching at summer camps in Italy.
