About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work Hard, Play Harder

ABOUT ME

Talkative, accident prone, outgoing, a bit mad.

I've been travelling since September 2011, visiting India, Thailand and Laos and teaching English in Thailand for six weeks. I came to New Zealand for two months and liked it so much I'm still here 9 months later. I had sort of settled in Queenstown. However, I'm now planning to travel in New Zealand in November before going home for Christmas.

I'm English, originally from West Yorkshire. My home town is not all that interesting, but it is close enough to Leeds and Huddersfield to catch a bus there. I went to university at the University of Manchester and lived in the crazy student town of Fallowfield. I've always wanted to travel and when a few of my friends wanted to go after university too, I decided that now was the time to go.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not sure I really have one yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couch surfing and so far I've only hosted three travelers. I started to get a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people asking me to couchsurf in Queenstown and I moved into a house where people were more skeptical about it. However I do plan to start accepting couch surfers again once I get my own place in Leeds, as I've really enjoyed meeting new fun and interesting people through hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend travelled all over Europe couch surfing and told me that I needed to sign up. Two years later I finally signed up and I think its a great way to meet people.

Teaching English in Thailand was awesome! Learnt a lot about myself. Met so many amazing people and had the most fun ever!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to cook for anyone who hosts me and I'll teach you how to make whatever I'm making. I've mainly learned how to cook from people I've lived with from a variety of places - but i also make pretty good nachos as well.
