ABOUT ME

Ya know what I recently learned about myself that blew my mind? I'm an introvert. Wowsa!

I'm a sociable gal who prefers a one-on-one, meandering, in depth conversation to several fleeting chats. CS usually delivers.

I am quirky and creative which comes out in my brooch collection (gumby! tiny rhino! the kitty!). I love exploration and discovery which feeds my curiosity. I'm quite deliberate about my choices in life leading me to work as a traveling cook for the past 5 years after quitting a PhD program in Sociology (It was bound to happen; I was studying DIY education). I'm out to craft and continue to improve/perfect myself, my life, and my world.

On my mind: minds and brains, gardening, sociable introversion, living on purpose, everything from scratch, writing.

I play the strumstick and bake my bread from scratch.

I'm so excited when I meet people who really know themselves or are on a quest to do so.

I love good conversation, playful people, laughing, making music (singing, banging on drums, anything), and foooooood.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf! I will organize your abode or clean up your kitchen (check my reviews!) I hope to be able to host one day when I'm not so transient.

Always a guest so I strive to be a good one. Love, love, love this project and all the wonderful folks I've met through it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I'm a traveling cook. My lifestyle allows me to live in the most gorgeous places in U.S. and move every six months. I've seen the snow capped Sawtooth mountains at sunrise and under a full moon. I've seen canyon lands that made me cry. I've lived on an island formed by two volcanoes erupting (Ometepe in Nicaragua). I've seen sharks, octopus and sea turtles close up under the sea...plus I came in second in a race on the ocean floor (the instructor got first place, but he cheated).

What I can do: stitch, sew, craft. Bike. Cook. Bake bread from scratch. Speak some Spanish. Think. Grow food. Play cribbage for hours.

What I want to learn to do: play banjo or fiddle. Learn another language. Bike repair. Learn more card games.
