Hello!

My name is Marylynne Anderson-Cooper but everybody calls me Mac. I'm 24, from Chicago, IL, USA and a theatre director and hopeful worldly traveler. I love meeting new people from around the world and making new friends and learning about different places and cultures.

I'm a coffee and tea addict, I enjoy a good Netflix and wine night in as well as a fun night out exploring new places, and I like rock climbing, cycling and playing volleyball for physical activity that doesn't involve going to gyms :)

I've been living in London for the last three months working as a theatre director, and now I'm dedicating some time to travel to see international theatre and meet and make new friends and have fresh experiences. I'm back in Chicago soon living with friends so can maybe accept surfers! No harm in asking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have decided that I want to take two and a half months to wander places I've never seen before. I truly believe that one of the best parts of traveling is getting to meet people who are different from you and seeing their home through their eyes. I'd rather stay with locals and make new friends (who can then come visit and stay with me in Chicago!) and see different places with others who love it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm trying to learn French and Italian, and happy to help anyone learning English and Spanish! I also cook and bake, and absolutely love sharing my cooking with others and am always keen on teaching others recipes and dishes! I also can teach different weaving patterns for different string bracelets which sounds silly but as a former summer camp counselor, I know they're pretty cool!

I also love learning about small secret places in big cities, and learning about the history of wherever I'm visiting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm clean and respectful and also fun and I hope to bring a bit of laughter and good times to my hosts! I'm eager for friends but also aware that you have a life and will have things to do as well, so I'm also self sufficient--and am happy to host my hosts when I am back in Chicago. I also make a pretty good friendship bracelet and while it's a small token, they're special. :)
