HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a shared household at the moment and it is rare that I have the opportunity to host couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a great experience visiting Charlottesville with a fabulous host. One of the coolest people I’ve ever met. It illustrates to me the way that travel depends so much on the interactions we have with other people. How lucky that couchsurfing exists and we can make travel plans that include time focused on meeting new people. Also, my wonderful couchsurfing cousin stayed at our place and turned me on to this community. I think the whole thing is great and it suits my ideals of sharing and hopefully we can one day make capitalism obsolete.

兴趣

Eating, sleeping, dancing, drawing, painting, making experimental music, art history, and standup comedy.

One unusual thing about me is that I don't like to drink but I do love a party so I am still fun at bars. Also, I don't need to drink to dance (which I have heard people say is the reason they'd never quit drinking). You're invited to have a fun sober time with me or have me as your one sober friend at a party, either way works for me.

Also, I am a portrait painter and I am always looking for new subjects. If you have an hour to spare, I’d love to paint your portrait! You can read or research and we can chat while I paint. It’s fun and then you can snap a picture of the painting if you like it.

I like to bake and I make a great pie crust!

I make tasty and healthy meals and delicious baked goods. Is there something you love that is hard to make? I’ll make it for you! I am a confident baker and love a challenge.
