About Me

ABOUT ME
Happy chatty confident girl, very wary of falling into the trap of 'being an adult'!
Typical Leo, take of that what you will.
Love 'the secret' - our thoughts and energy become actions.
Kind of vegetarian..
I try to put a smile on most people faces, nothing better than being positive :D

I grew up quickly and moved to Namibia at 18. Now i'm restless and addicted to new places.

I'm always willing to learn something new but find it hard to commit (especially language learning, wish i was better!)
I hate wasting time, find it hard to relax and love connecting with people that have other interests to mine.
I'm currently teaching English in Murcia, Spain. It's pretty chilled and cheap so I can't complain, sometimes i feel like i've outgrown europe. I hope i'm wrong.
I think I'm the only one in my family who feels the need for constant travel, sometimes I feel like the black sheep but it keeps me inspired and a motivated
I run at least 10KM a day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been living abroad and traveling for almost 3 years and I'm constantly looking to see new places and meet new people (isn't everyone!?). I'd heard a few people talk about Couchsurfing and thought I'd give it a go; now I've tried it I'd never travel any other way. You get to meet some crazy and inspiring people, try things you'd never try and just enjoy your few days together. Meet as strangers and leave as friends

Interests

Photography - I've been messing around with cameras since I was 7, I feel confident with my camera in my hands. street, alternative & family portraits are my thing

dance - I've danced my whole life but find it hard to get back into it when I'm travelling. Hopefully in the future though

fashion - It's a way to express myself

writing & teaching - I write a travel blog which I'm immensely proud of and am currently writing a book. it's hard to explain but it's basically a tongue in cheek, fuck you society guide on how to grow up and become independent. Mainly directed at late teen /early twenties girls. I love writing but get easily distracted, really hoping i can finish it by august, when i turn 21

I've got a TEFL certificate which I want to use and teach in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Brazil. I want to experience the music of south and central america more than anything

Africa is one of my biggest interests and I'm obsessed with the culture (particularly southern africa). I'm excited to go and volunteer in Kenya in September

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - any RnB, Hip Hop, Soul, Gospel, Indie, Pop. I love Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar, TLC, Destinys Child, Jay Z, izzy bizu, sasha keabel, mnek, kwabs, mary j blige, stevie wonder, jessie ware, the kooks, foal, everything everything, mj.

Movies - I'm the worst with films! I'm just not a film person. I find it so hard to sit still and concentrate for that length of time oooops

Books - I love travel and lifestyle blogs and fashion magazines

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i loved surfing (cape town), attempting to skateboard in budapest, chilling and drinking by the seine in paris, countless safaris in namibia, performing in london, etc etc etc

I often doubt myself but overall I'm proud to have moved out at 18 and lived in 5 different countries independently.

I live the life that I want to, not what's expected of me by others

Teach, Learn, Share

photography, blogging, cooking, childcare.

I want to learn how to relax more and enjoy the moment, instead of always looking for the next adventure (maybe it can't be taught??)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Embarrassing stories?! (I'm a pretty unorganised, clumsy, ditzy traveller)
I like to think I'm a polite and fun guest, I'm easy going and am not too fussed about seeing every single thing a city has to offer but don't get me wrong. I love going out, trying cocktails, dancing to loud music.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, France, Namibia, South Africa, Spain
