CURRENT MISSION

This week my mission is to drive to Calgary and back with my travel buddy Gracie. We are planning to check out the natural wonders of BC/Alberta on route. In Calgary we plan to pretend we are cowgirls and Yee Haw or Ya Hoo or something like that.

ABOUT ME

I'm an energetic and friendly Aussie currently living in Vancouver with my travel buddy and childhood pal Grace.

We've come here hoping to travel North America and to get out and have some fun in the outdoors of Western Canada.

At the start of this year we said "Adios Australia" leaving behind our careers, friends and families. Since then we've had a bit of a whirl wind year heading to Hawaii, Banff, Lake Louise, Sun Peaks, Vancouver, a drive from Seattle to San Diego, stop in at Mexico, Vegas, Coachella Music Festival, back to Vegas (just because we loved it too much to stay away) and then finally to Vancouver to unpack our bags and settle in.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new. I'm hoping to get out and meet locals in the places I visit and to return the favour back in Vancouver.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the couch surfing community but I have spent plenty of time over the years staying on friends couches or having people to stay on my own couch/spare mattress. Currently we seem to have a steady flow of friends and friend's friends camping on our spare mattress. I think this year I have spend almost as much time staying on couches as I have in beds. So it's nice to return the favour and have extra smiley faces around to hangout with in my spare time.

Interests

I'm a bit of an outdoorsy extravert. So I love getting out doors and being social. I find meeting new people interesting and always enjoy hearing new and different views on the world.
