My friends would describe me as an open and friendly person, good-natured though a little melancholic at times, intelligent, energetic. I guess I would pass for a kind and generous person too :-)! My friends enjoy sharing a joke with me, believe me to be a responsible and sincere person and a many-sided one.

I believe that one should try many things in life - however unconnected and irrational - if they develop an interest in something. The more interests you have, the more lives you live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted people from different countries (US, UK) and have been hosted myself (US, UK, France). Totally liked the experience - communicating and showing new places, sightseeing and experiencing new lifestyles.

Interests

I am genuinely interested in the history and nature of places I visit, in how people live and how their culture differs from my own. I love mythologies and legends, am fascinated by all things mysterious. A linguist in my professional life, I spend my free time making crafts from polymer clay, drawing oil canvases, singing, playing the guitar, dancing (Irish dancing), reading or watching films. I enjoy meeting with friends, cooking without recipes and walking long walks in picturesque surroundings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some years ago, I visited the Lake District in the north of England - having seen many outstanding places I still felt enormously impressed by the beauty of the scenery, especially when I was admiring it from a ship. Mountains, cool strong wind, ever-moving water - it was absolutely amazing!
Another great episode that I will never forget was when I caught a small shark in North Carolina. Of course, it was a baby and, of course, we let it go but... A shark!
