About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Backpacking solo across Europe for the summer

ABOUT ME

I recently finished my BA in interdisciplinary studies with a self-designed program of study that included sustainable development, philosophy, and mindfulness practices. I'm a board member for a local non-profit called Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture that combines my interest in community development with my passion for sustainable agriculture and food systems.

I lived in Spain as an exchange student my junior year of high school, I spent 13 months as a residential volunteer for Heifer International in rural Arkansas, and spent a year WWOOFing...just to name a few of my most influential experiences.

I hold a deep love for travel, and I'm excited at the notion of movement after 3 years of staying (mostly) in place.

PHILOSOPHY

I just want to learn and experience and see what comes next!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been absent from the couchsurfing scene for a few years now as I moved from one tiny space to another while finishing college, and actually, the majority of my previous experience surfing has been outside the realm of this site. I'm ready to get more involved!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my experiences have been me on the couch (or in my minivan outside), and they've primarily happened in America. I spent about a year traveling around the US alternating between camping, WWOOFing, and incidental couchsurfing. When I'm in the full swing of my travel mode, I seem to just meet the right people at the right time.

Interests

I'm into travel, permaculture, intentional communities, food systems, hiking, books, hip hop, yoga, photography, philosophy, ceramics, people, dancing, all animals (especially the baby ones) and preferably avoiding winter for the rest of my life. I love art in all forms and great conversations!
