ABOUT ME

I don´t really now how to introduce myself..I am a cheerful person, respectful of people and nature who is passionate for traveling since my childhood. Even though my family never traveled (or maybe because of that), I have always been highly attracted by it, and as a child became a real passionate for geography, collecting travel books, travel agency magazines, maps, etc.

Now that I am able to move on my own I don´t want to loose time anymore and I travel as much as I can! I studied international relations and geopolitics and am now lucky to get to live abroad for my work. I lived in Austria, the Netherlands, Kosovo and am now back in the Netherlands. I am always in the mood to met new people, to go on nature trips and to experiment new things.

PHILOSOPHY

happiness is to be found in the small things, you don´t need much, just to open your eyes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As my situation changes a lot and generally quite quickly, I can't always host. I am nevertheless always open to meet couchsurfers visiting the place I am at the moment and to show them around. I also like getting in touch with the CS community living in those places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only have few surfing experience through the CS website but I did a lot of couch surfing during my different trips (especially in Transylvania), staying at friends of friends, family of friends, etc. Though CS, I stayed in Zagreb, New York, Annapolis & Baltimore and The Hague and met really cool people every time! I really enjoy traveling this way, and recommend it to everybody (even brought me some problem when I was teaching in high schools!). I always try to be helpful in the place I´m staying, do not take much space and actually appear to be a well appreciated cook!!

In addition to travelling, I love to read and always carry a book around. I aslo love cooking (it is my main free time activity), hiking and I am curretly trying to learn to play the guitar and to speak Russian.

movies: so many! I love weird independent ones, the kind you watch on arte at 2 in the morning!

Music: I'm quite open but particularly love rock and folk. I listen to almost everthing in that range from Dylan to the Artic Monkeys going through elliott smith, the smashing pumpkins, joy division, patti smith, janis jopplin,the velvet undergroung, shakey grave etc. etc.

Books: All of them!

One of the most amazing place I have ever seen are the transylvanian mountains. Swimming in water falls after an exhausting day of hiking to end up admiring the view from the top of the mountain will stay one of my best travelling memory!
