ABOUT ME

I'm an eternal student, and when I'm not studying, I'm traveling. Even better, as an anthropologist I can combine the two :) I am from the Netherlands but feel just as much at home in Australia. I have been living Australia for over 2 years now to do a PhD and am absolutely loving it here!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've found that couchsurfing is a good way to meet like-minded people and make new friends when you've moved somewhere new. At the moment I'm not able to host, but I would really like to meet up with people. So if you're traveling to Katherine and fancy having a coffee/beer/chat/yoga class/camping trip together, let me know!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few times in the Netherlands and Australia, which I really enjoyed. I've been surfing once myself, in Belgium. I've also met traveling and local couchsurfers and made some great friends this way.

Musica, film e libri

Books: too many, but a few authors I like are Jodi Picoult, Isabel Allende, Lionel Shriver, and I can also recommend "the art of asking" by Amanda Palmer.
Bands: The Dresden Dolls / Amanda Palmer, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Shinedown, Biffy Clyro, Billy Talent, Rammstein, and many more.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Bungee jumping in New-Zealand. Since then, every time I have to do something that scares me, I just think "It can't be more scary than that". And really, in all the places that I've traveled/lived I've had amazing experiences so I wouldn't know where to start... Just ask me this in person when we meet and you have some time on your hands!

Insegna, impara, condividi

I can teach some yoga, tell you all about Aboriginal culture, share my experiences of moving to another country, and enjoy cooking together. Especially now that I'm not traveling much I love meeting people from other countries and hearing their stories, it's the next best thing after actually traveling there :)
