ABOUT ME

I am originally from Ukraine, but have been in America for 16 years. I finished graduate school in psychology a couple of years ago, and now teaching in a community college in Manhattan. I am one of those people who like to work hard and play hard. I love my job and it keeps me very busy, but I also love having fun. Fortunately, I have the most amazing colleagues, one of whom recently became my best friend, so that keeps my life really interesting and sweet. I love exploring NY when I have time, but traveling is the happiest time for me. Sometimes fun is really simple for me: if you like to talk, laugh, eat, and drink - we will get along!

PHILOSOPHY

I just bought a fridge magnet because I like what it says: "work as if you don't need money, love as if you've never been hurt, and dance as if no one is watching."

I have both hosted travelers and slept on others' couches.

I had hosted people for a year, but then stopped, and now re-opening my doors again.

Centres d'intérêt

I guess my favorite thing to do is to have a long intimate conversation with someone. I really enjoy these "connecting" moments. I also like good films, art, books, food, bars, and many other city-like activities. I have no idea how I ended up going to school in Utah :-) I also dance Argentinian tango, and hope to go to Argentina one day to improve my tango skills.
