Originally, it was me (Masha) who started this account way way way back in my early 20s when the profile was still staring Missions and Philosophies and such 😊😬.
As time passes and life goes on, I turned into we and so let me introduce the both of us ❤️

I, Masha, was born in Russia but have German heritage and grew up between the both of them. Struggling with being a foreigner for both I decided to rather be a proper foreigner and left both countries as soon as could 😅 and that is how my journey began.
From trying to find my identity and ethnicity on the road, to learning how to respect cultures, languages and people and all the way down to finding my partner in life, Nikos, traveling, experiencing and learning from different people, cultures, religions and societies has been my life and continues to be so.

Nikos is a Pontic Greek from the area of Thessaloniki (funky enough: he’s got some long lost Russian roots 😂). He is the type of person with an endless amount of patience, empathy and understanding. He is a calm personality but at the same time very active - he has a lot of energy in him for all that excites him and there is no shortage of what excites him daily - tech, soccer, destinations, cultures - all of the things but mostly sugary foods! He is a lover of the sweets 🍭 ❤️

Together, we share our love for all the fluffy fur-babies of this world, especially cats 🐈❤️, for travel, for culture and communities. Hence we made it back to CS, looking for a community while on the road to learn from and share with. ❤️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first Host was a chinese girl and that was the best experience in my life! She's so adorable and lovely, I had a really good time at her home. After that first surfing I loved CS for helping me to find such an amazingly good friend.

Interests

Our main interest is to travel, see the world, learn from the people we meet on the road.
Besides that Nikos loves to surf, play football (soccer), writing lyrics (rap) and he is quite the artist as well.
I’m the planner at heart - reading, planing, calculating our trips.
At night we live experiences culture as arts - live music, theater, galleries etc pp
