What’s up everyone,

My name is Mason and I am currently an incoming junior at Arizona State University in the USA. I am a fun loving, mountain man looking, fully vaccinated, magic and music doing guy. I got a full ride offer to play basketball at ASU which was my lifelong dream and ended up not taking it.

Ive always felt something missing in my life and after I listened to a TEDTalk about travel, I needed to see the world and I’m going to do just that. I am taking a gap year and over the course of the next 9 months I will travel to Europe, Asia, and Australia for 3 months each.

Couchsurfing is a godsend for me because the thing I am most worried about while traveling is not being immersed enough in the cultures of the countries I am visiting. This community will not only give me the opportunity to see and experience each culture first hand, but also share a bit of my culture with you kind hosts as well.

I am a college student taking a gap year to travel Europe, Asia, and Australia for 3 months each respectively. I love learning about other cultures but there is no substitute for meeting up with locals. When I found out about this platform I was amazed and ecstatic, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak both english and spanish, I’ll also teach you how to do some cool card tricks and play a bit of my kalimba.

I would love to learn firsthand both the culture and the spots in each city I’m visiting that are off the beaten path and authentic, whether that is you showing me these places or telling me where they’re at I will be extremely grateful.

Every host I have I will cook an authentic USA dish for you. I will also show you some of my card tricks and kalimba music, we can have a mini show!!

I would love to cook you guys an authentic USA dish (yes it can be a burger if you’d like).

I have done card magic my whole life so if you’re up to having your mind blown just let me know.

I carry my Kalimba with me everywhere and also play piano proficiently, mini concert is available.

This is so little compared to what you would be sharing with me but if you host me and ever want to visit the Grand Canyon in Arizona my door will be open to you no questions asked :)
