ABOUT ME

My friends would say I'm a crazy freegan who likes running around with dogs, doing math, playing chess, playing d&d, playing go. I like playing...
I can be a tad eccentric and get caught up in problems for a while but normal me-mode is pretty laid back. I've just gotten into running in last year and am working to get up to a half-marathon. Long slow runs are probably my favorite form of meditation.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just starting exploring CS and I'm not yet sure how I fit in. Though, my house in Athens, Ohio is registered as a CS house. I would love to start having CS parties. It seems like the CS community is super awesome.

Intereses

Board games: Chess. Go. Xiangqi. Scrabble.
I can spend entire weeks doing nothing but playing board games.

Mathematics. Applied and Pure.
For algebraists: Rings, Groups, and Modules are good things.
For sane-mathematicians: I really enjoy combinatorics, and dynamical systems.
I've been thinking about language complexity most recently. It's kind of a sexy part of math.
For non-mathematicians (sane humans)
Rock Climbing.
