I was born in Yosemite, where I was raised for 7 years while my dad was a ranger, and later firefighter. After that, I moved to Hood River, OR until I graduated high school. I now go to Oregon State University and am studying climate science. I spend most of my free time throughout the school year doing photography and hiking, taking climbing trips when possible, and kiteboarding non-stop in the summer. I'd love to swap stories and meet interesting people in interesting places.

Willing to offer up a couch when I'm home in Hood River over the summers, I know all the trails and can give some good information.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer, while scrambling around at Cape Foulweather looking for the perfect angle for a view, I ended up racing the tide to get to a spot. Rather than race the tide back, I decided to free solo up a 40 ft waterfall that probably would have been a 5.7, after reaching the top I was immediately confronted by a pain-in-the-ass section of thick bushes that were probably 8-10 feet tall. Using my tripod as a makeshift blunt machete, it took me over half an hour to reach an area that was in earshot of the top of the waterfall. I never did get the angle I was looking for, but it was a fun little journey (looking back, NOT while looking down).
