ABOUT ME

Thanks for dropping by my profile. I am current a senior at the University of Chicago. I originally studied Biology (pre-med) when I came here but later decided that Biology, pre-med, was not right for me. Currently, I am a Visual Arts major and I love it. Though it is a time consuming major, I find the work I make is extremely rewarding and intellectually challenging.

I was originally from Taiwan and had the opportunity to grow up in Central America for the first half of my childhood. While the environment is significantly different than my current experience in the United States, I believe my experiences of living there have changed the way I see the world. Today, my family lives in Houston, TX. My family is a frequent mover that sometimes I wonder if there is a Frequent Mover Program where we can redeem points for each move!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy stems from the idea of living with the community and learning to give back.

I am entirely new to CouchSurfing, however, I am willing to try hosting in the near future after I have my experience at being a surfer myself.

Through the recommendation of my friends, I decided to sign up for an account and I hope to use this for my upcoming trip to San Francisco.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally like all music except heavy metal or incoherent lyrics. I am always exploring when it comes to music, especially if they are culturally linked musics! :)There are just too many movies around to list here that would truly grasp my taste but some of them includes: Singing in the Rain, UP, Dark Knight, and Hugo.Now adays, I am reading more of non-fiction that I would have. I have sooo many books that I want to read/plan to read that I dont even have time to get to. At the moment I am reading Steve Jobs's biography. One of my favorite book of all time is Ann Ryn's The Fountainhead. Feel free to ask me though! :)
