ABOUT ME

I have just moved to Manchester and want to get to know it and its people. I work for an organisation that tries to get people more involved in democracy. I'm really interested in that kind of stuff, and in generally having a good time- if you fit one or more of these descriptions then it would be great to meet up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had some great experiences with couchsurfing- though so far I've only ever hosted people that I've already surfed with. I've only just moved to Manchester so I may be able to host people but am probably not that well set up to host just yet. Mainly I'm looking for people to have fun with in and around Manchester.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany and the UK whilst travelling with friends. All of them were great experiences.

Interests

The outdoors. Adventures. Politics (someone needs to be). House parties. Nice places. Good films. Couchsurfing. Frisbee. People who are interested in things (whether or not they struggle to name them in a list).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to some great places but still one of my favourite memories is from spending a day floating down a river in Durham on tiny inflatables with a group of friends, in the rain, after exams- still makes me chuckle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really interested in democracy, politics, ethics and society- and if you're careless enough to express an interest I will happily share my thoughts on these until asked to stop!

I also like fun things. If there's a group I can teach you how to play Truco, and I play a bit of frisbee.

There are lots of things I'd like to know more about, and to quote Donald Rumsfeld there are plenty of unknown unknowns- surprise me. (I'm sorry for using Donald Rumsfeld to avoid writing a proper list...)
