Hi, my name is Matej ( very few foreigner can pronounce it corectly so you can call me Matthew 😁) I am 21 and I love solo travelling, as I call it on homeless style, just hitchhiking with backpack, sleeping on benches, beaches or forests. Cooking on the propanbutan cooker or sneaking for free on breakfast to hotels. This is definition of absolute freedom for me. I used to travel like this just during holidays but now I had small burnout at Uni and decided to take 2 months of. Apart from this I love mountains, nature, hiking and solo climbing. Also I am starting to cook so I can make you some of my national dishes !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and learn about their culture. Also I am student on low budget and my friends refuse to sleep on the bench on trips with me so couchsurfing seems to be the best.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to some alternative metal like Korn or Rage against the machine but recently I favour Beatles. Relating to books I love reading. Last half year I started reading some poems, exept that I read a lot of travelogues, detectives, some fantasy when I was younger and also some of the world best known fiction (classics).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve done 4 days thruhike of Low Tatras but I’d love to do something longer like Pyrenees one day. This summer holidays I hitchhiked around western Europe in July and in august I hitchhiked from Slovakia to Istanbull and back via Albania.

I love pushing my comfort zone but I already got to the point where everything is in there so if somebody can get me out of it I am really greatful. Otherwise I love pushing other people out their comfort zone but I learned I have to go slow on it 😁.
