We are Mateja & Dominik, young couple with completely different interests from most young people our age, at least from most Croatian young people :). Our hobby is exploring nature in all its dimensions during hiking and cycling. Growing, cooking and especially eating healthy food and spending time in nature is the meaning of our existence.

Our whole life we live in the countryside with many kind of pets and animals. Chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, goats, horses, rabbits, ducks...

Besides our love of nature and animals, traveling and moving is our second meaning of our existence. Till now we had opportunity to explore some European countries, but now we are going to explore Southern Hemisphere, especially natural beauty and wonders of New Zealand. We are planning to spend a year from June 2017 in New Zealand.

Couchsurfing is an excellent opportunity for us to meet new people and share our passions with them!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'm backpacker, so as many others I'm traveling in limited budget. Also, me and my boyfriend want to try out so many different ways of traveling, what include camping and couchsurfing accommodation. As currently is the winter, couchsurfing is better option than camping.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Cycling in the middle of the summer through Croatian cities, hills and mountains - from northeast city in Croatia, Čakovec to the islands Krk, Cres, Lošinj. We've gone over than 350 km in four days to get there and the temperatures over 30° have killed us. And after three days of rest, another 300km waiting for us, back to home...
But we were persistent and did it and we are so proud of ourself!

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

Both of us are nature lover, gardening is our hobby. At home in Croatia we have vegetable gardens, greenhouse, orchards, compost and little chicken farm so if we can help you with anything of this, it would be our pleasure!
