Hey there!

I'm Matěj, a 19 years old student from the Czech Republic. I've just graduated highschool and I was blessed with the opportunity to travel around Europe through the DiscoverEU programme! 😃

It is my first big journey without my family or friends, so I am more than excited to meet new poeple, see new places and just create some memories!

In 2022/23, (16 years old) I've spent a year in the United States as an exchange student, which taught me to not be afraid to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. It was an amazing year that motivated me to explore even more parts of the world, and that is why I am here.

Big part of my life are sports, I've played high level volleyball for 10 years, but right now I just play in an amateur league, focusing more on my studies and gym. After college, I would want to live couple months somewhere near the see so I could surf more too.

Other thing that is very close to my heart is music. Last two years I have been playing Jazz on the piano which I really enjoy and 3 years ago I've also started with guitar, so I could play with my family and friends around a campfire. If you want to, I'd love to play you something!

I consider myself as a guy that is easy to talk to, tries to stay positive at most times and likes to explore new things.

I listen to multiple genres, with the main ones being rap, pop and rock. However, If anything except Metal comes up, there is a really good chance that I'll like it haha

Last month I got accepted into a Czech university with a major called Innovative Entrepreneurship. It is a new school system focusing less on theory and more on doing.
