Mi nombre es Mateo Gomez soy estudiante de ultimo año de ingenieria biomedica, tambien hace 6 años soy voluntario activo de Techo Colombia, una organización que combate la pobreza extrema desde acciones sociales y comunitarias. Soy buen conversador, una persona tranquila que le gusta escuchar. Entre las cosas que me gusta hacer es bailar techno, descubrir sitios de comida, patinar y escuchar personas.

My name is Mateo Gomez I am a senior student of biomedical engineering, also for 6 years I have been an active volunteer for Techo Colombia, an organization that fights extreme poverty through social and community actions. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me encuentro en Coushsurfing ya que en el mes de noviembre planeo viajar a Turín, Piamonte, Italia con el fin de hacer una pasantía de investigación desde noviembre hasta enero. La investigación esta relacionada con el funcionamiento de el circuito eléctrico muscular y como es que la actividad eléctrica se ve alterada cuando nos suceden traumatismos o adquirimos enfermedades y esto a su vez genera problemas de movimiento.
Para realizar esta investigación debo de viajar a Turín y estar allá durante 3 meses, me gustara saber si es posible que alguien me acoja los primeros días mientras encuentro un lugar donde vivir, también me justaría saber si es posible que alguien me rente un cuarto para quedarme, nunca he estado allá y no conozco muy bien que facilidades existen.

I am on Coushsurfing because in the month of November I plan to travel to Turin, Piedmont, Italy in order to do a research internship from November to January. The research is related to the functioning of the muscular electrical circuit and how the electrical activity is altered when we suffer trauma or acquire diseases and this in turn generates movement problems.
To carry out this research I must travel to Turin and be there for 3 months, I would like to know if it is possible for someone to host me the first days while I find a place to live, I would also like to know if it is possible for someone to rent me a room to stay, I have never been there and I do not know very well what facilities there are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Una vez cuando estaba haciendo un viaje en Colombia por error termine escalando una montaña. Básicamente quería ir al valle del cocora (un lugar muy lindo en Colombia) , pero no sabia donde era y seguí caminando sin mirar el mapa, luego de 3 horas caminando llegue a una finca y me di cuenta que estaba mas lejos de lo que quiera llegar pero tenia pena de preguntar, asi que hice amigos en el camino y a pesar de muchos contra tiempos logre llegar al pico de la montaña y poder ver la nieve.

Para enseñar y compartir tengo recetas típicas colombianas, también historias de viajes que pueden hacer un poco mas sencillo la estancia en Suramérica. Por enseñar también tendría diversas cosas como por ejemplo un poco de jardinería y arreglo de diferentes cosas que se puedan dañar en casa como por ejemplo grifos, tuberías, entre otras cosas.

To teach and share I have typical Colombian recipes, also travel stories that can make your stay in South America a little easier. To teach I would also have different things such as a little bit of gardening and fixing different things that can be damaged at home such as faucets, pipes, among other things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Puedo ofrecer el pago de un alquiler o renta no muy elevada, también ofrezco durante el tiempo de estadia lavar la cocina y estar muy atento al aseo de la casa, también puedo contribuir con ideas y si es necesario mi escucha y compañia son cosas que también tengo por ofrecer

I can offer the payment of a rent or rent not too high, I also offer during the time of stay to wash the kitchen and be very attentive to the cleanliness of the house, I can also contribute with ideas and if necessary my listening and company are things I also have to offer.
