Overview
About Me
Hi, I am Matej.
Living a happy life with my wife Patricia. A few spiders live with us too that we don't kill but always carry down to the basement :D don't worry you're not gonna stay down there :D only if you want. We don't live in the city center but close to Trenčín appr 10km in a typical Slovak countryside village :) if you are sick of people and seeking sweet solitude there is a simple cabin 5km further surrounded by forest and a flock of sheep built by my dad and provided for you too :) Our hobby is to make people happy. Implementing small talk into our country :D. most Slovaks do not smile back though. But we are trying our best :D We like to move. Sports and adventure. But also chill and complete silence with a cold beer. It's harmony in practice.
My motto is:
Speak only when necessary, and eat only when hungry.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am looking for free hostels like all of us here. :D sometimes I like this kind of humor don't get me wrong. It's just to reflect on the heartbreaking profiles of not-free-hostel hosts and try-hards making a big deal of it that someone didn't even hang out with them. Open-minded people are the benefits of CS and the authentic and personal experience in the certain area you are. And then the money you save on hotel of course :D
Interests
All kinds of everything but I am a master of nothing. The opposite of what Musashi said in his Samurai teachings. My saying is only the bees are specialized. Also when you take things too serious it's not much of a fun anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books
We grow. Mood changes. Our style changes. Hard to tell. Used to be something. It is something. Will definitely be something else.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've survived a typhoon storm while wild camping on a remote beach in Okinawa Japan.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are sharing mutual trust. Either as a host or guest. That's the most valuable thing to give to another person :) and also being trusted is a big honor
What I Can Share with Hosts
good mood, shower, tools,
