As far as human being is concerned I think that we are combined from separate levels: physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. Development through those levels is available if we obey some rules: kalos kagathos, golden mean, optimism, altruism etc.

I recommend Polish Masuria to see and I feel that meditation is a right thing to do, and I think that meditation in Masuria is pretty amazing.
