@matheusfnc1 // Im a 23 years old student, living with a friend in Niteroi. Niteroi is satelite city from Rio de Janeiro, located in the otherside of the Guanabara Bay. You would have many options to get to Rio by public transports (ferry, bus, taxi, uber). I live 10 minutes walking to the ferry station, where you can cross to downtown Rio in about 20 minutes in a lovely trip across Guanabara Bay. Many bus stations close as well. Would love to receive travellers from all around the world and help as I can to provide shelter and facilities that can get the vacation cheaper. I am avaiable to pick you up at the airport or at the bus station in weekends and during the week (mostly during night hours). I live with a 25 years old friend, that recently graduated in History. I also have a small white cat called Mia! She can be a little bit unpolited sometimes, so if you have problem with cats, maybe not the best idea kkkkkk. Niterói is a satelite city of Rio de Janeiro, where I grew up. I moved here in 2015 to study in medical school, as Niterói is mostly an university city. I live very close to the campus, and everyone is free to get inside and get to know the place better (the view is awesome and u would get to know many students). You can also eat in the university restaurant, as I can lend you my card. They serve meals at lunch and dinner for less than 1 real (0,70 reais, to be exactly). I write poetry and love to read.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´d like to discouver other cultures and couchsurfing is a cheap way to travel around the world. Also u can "travel" by staying at home, as one can receive many different people in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im very found of brazilian popular music (I can lead u, if u so want, in the way of MPB - Música Popular Brasileira) and rock music. Also like brazilian RAP and Samba. I really do like art in general, as you will notice if you stay in my place. The living room is decorated with many classical paintings. My favorite movie at the time is "The Dreamers " starrying Louis Garrel. My favorite book writer is Milan Kundera (writer of the The Unbearable Lightness of Being). Others that got really into me are Gabriel Garcia Marques and Eduardo Galeano. I also like to read about phyosophy, sociology and history. Also like poetry very much (Carlos Drummond de Andrade is my favorite poet).
