About Me
Hello! We are Matheus (26y) and Rodrigo (25y). We’ve are friends for like 6 years and we’ve been planing this trip for a while, and its finally happening, and we though of using Couchsurfing as a method to help us acomplish this trip. We find out about this app in conversations with dozens of travellers from several countries that we met on a community nearby our city: Ecovila Karaguatá.
Its our First time using Couchsurfing and we very happy to be able to use it as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are new in the app, and as i said before, we found out about couchsurfing through conversations with travellers that we've met not only in Ecovillage Karaguata, but also in your life experience. We think is a amazing way to make friends, learn about the local culture through out the interaction with the hosts. Also, is a way to turn down cost of the trip at least in some way. We are planning the trip in a way that we can not only discover new landscapes, but also make friendships around the globe.
Beaches, Waterfall, Forests, Touristic points. If the catch is good, we are accepting it.
We also help in any housework that came as necessary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Both me and Rodrigo used to go to a place nearby our city called Ecovillage Karaguata, a community whose values come thought budism knowledge and planting all the food they consume. This exact place attracted dozens of travellers around the globe (EUA, Colombia, France, Netherlands, Canada...), and what all those people had in common was the usage of Couchsurfing.
Matheus: Also, I'm almost a psychologist, being my main experience role based on childhood and adolescence area with Gestalt-Therapy my main therapeutic approach.
In January 2019, i went to a trip my first trip alone to Rio de Janeiro, where i stayed for one month in a friend’s house, . It was an oportunity to know new places, and also put in practice my project with Rodrigo (but this time, without him hahhaha), being a street music player (playing guitar and vocals) in the streets of Buzios and Cabo Frio. The experience was amazing.
Rodrigo is a history teacher, and used to give music classes to students as well.
Rodrigo: I believe that one of the most relevant experience i had in my life was living with friends and thinking in a collective way, sharing the house, organizing and planting food, building group dynamics that brought me experience in a way to turn me into a better person. I feel like being Very open to dialogue and tô learn New things. Through out my life time, i didnt travelled a Lot, and i expect that the next Years Will be different; I really want tô met and discover New amazing places.
Beyond my return to learning music (guitar and percussion), in my hometown, I work in a technical assist store, where we fix electric and mecânico equipments, being this job temporary and being only for a short amont of time. Before the repairing work, i was working in a School for two Years, as a librarian, which gave me important experiences with teachers and studends, in a way that I could understand better my college degree (History; got gratuated in 2019).
I believe that Brazil scholarship nowadays its kinda messy in several ways, but I Hope that a few Years from now I Will be able to work as a teachers.
Teach, Learn, Share
--
Teach that there is a lot of great things outside our comfort zone.
Learn more about the world around us, and the cultures that those places hold.
Share our experience, stories and music. Good moments are also included in the pack hahaha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, helping on the daily house tasks, fun dialogue and floating musical notes around the house ( guitar and/or vocal - hahahaha). If we tune our vibes, we become more at home, but still, we also perceive ourself as very adaptive and respectful no matter the people.
We still can help with yard services if necessary,
