Hi there my name is Mat and I come from the beautiful and somewhat wild South Africa. I was born in Johannesburg and lived on the outskirts of the big city on a plot with lots of horses chickens dogs cats etc as we as a family all love animals. When I turned 13 we made a life changing move to the incredibly beautiful place in the Blyde River Canyon Biosphere, near to the Kruger National Park - home to the "Big Five" It was here that I attended a very small and unique bush school which suited me completely . From there I graduated and went onto 'Quest Africa' in Zimbabwe for my gap year and then to Stellenbosch University to do a degree in agriculture. I love the outdoors am mostly barefoot just so I can be in contact with this beautiful earth of ours. I am an enthusiastic young man always looking for an adventure. We as a family have travelled around Africa a great deal where I have developed a huge respect for nature, animals ,plants etc and love the sustainable living ideals that go with, the growing and eating of organic vegetables, making it easy to follow a healthy lifestyle . With my agricultural degree I am Looking to not only share valuable knowledge, skills and ideas , but to also expand my knowledge in organic farming and permaculture from those like minded farmers..I love cooking surfing hiking scuba diving and any other outdoor adventure activities . I am easy to get along with and have the ability to make people laugh.I am excited to be travelling around the world to explore different cultures and to meet other people who share a similar passion ..
