Okay guys, before I start, read this : I've been on couchsurfing for 2 months, and I've received around 30 requests to stay! I will gladly host you, but you have to know that I don't live IN THE CITY of Montreal, but rather in the suburbs, more specifically in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Getting to Montreal from my house takes a hour or so, and costs around 10$ (per trip). Therefor, my location is not ideal! I'll gladly meet you for coffee, or to talk, but unless you don't mind the transport time and cost, hosting you may not be the best idea! You may also contact me as I know alot of people in and around Montreal, I may be able to help you!

Now, to the real deal.

I'm a 20 years old student, born and raised in Quebec, Canada.

I am a wanna-be traveller. Although I've never travelled on my own before (only with my family), I've always wanted to travel the world, meet new people and, more importantly, change the world. This is why I'm studying in International Studies, as I plan on working in diplomacy or international organizations. I have lived in the United States, as well, and traveled to France, Italy and Mexico.

I'm an outgoing person, as friendly as can get, I'm very talkative, kind and generous.

Also on this account is my girlfriend, Madeleine. She's a 20 years old nurse, and has done humanitarian trips in Togo and Peru. She has lived from birth to about 10 years old on a boat, living off the coast of Venezuela and travelling all around the Caribbeans with her father, who was doing humanitarian work, her mother and her little sister. She's a friendly, king and extremely generous person.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm currently planning a trip with my girlfriend, in Europe, from June 25th to August 20th, and being on a low budget, I thought on trying out couch surfing. I've only had good comments from people who have tried it, and thought I'd give it a go.

These are the places we want to visit this summer, although I'm fairly certain we'll have to cut some of these off.
Brussels, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Lausanne, Split, Rome, the Almafi Coast, Athens, Santorini and Istanbul.

Why couchsurfing? Because travelling is not just going to the tourist attractions, but also meeting new people and making friends, sharing stories and seeing less-known places. Let's make our stay worthwhile for all of us!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

For me, that's pretty hard to do. I guess I'll have to wait after travelling to Europe to find something to write here.
For the moment, let's just say that I've secretly saved the world from an Alien invasion, all whilst protecting a cat and a potato from certain doom.

As for my girlfriend, let's say she's done plenty of amazing stuff, i.e. living on a boat for 10 years, doing humanitarian work in Togo and Peru, taking care of sick people. She's the amazing one, really ;)

Wow. What a vague category.

This will be our first backpacking trip, so we'll be learning a whole lot in Europe, we hope. I can teach you a lot about bartending, hockey and even though I'm Canadian, I can keep up in a football conversation.
