Hej!
I'm Mathias (or Matti), an easy-going and ever-curious part-time traveller based in Copenhagen. I love travelling, though I won't have the opportunity to go long-term travelling for a while, so I'm opening up my home to like-minded travellers to keep my traveller's spirit alive while at home.

In my everyday life, I work as an IT consultant, try to maintain an unsustainable number of hobbies and get sidetracked by ideas on a weekly basis. If you enjoy any of the following, we'll have something to chat about: playing or producing music, backpacking and unorthodox travelling, philosophy and talking about the big picture, running, cycling, reading books between the lines, video game development, being career-driven without losing your humanity.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing so I can get my backpacker-fix even when going travelling is not an option, hosting and meeting people different from myself so that I may hear their perception of the world and our role in it.

I believe that we should all do our part to promote the type of community we'd like to live in. For me, that means making my home available to travellers and ensuring that those that visit feel welcomed and never exploited, knowing that I'd want the same if I were to visit another place.

I have a strong understand of music theory and basic proficiency in playing guitar, piano and bass. If you are new to any of these instruments, I'd love to teach what I know.

Because my career is in IT, I have a very good understanding of the field, especially how one develops their career. If you're pursuing a similar career, I'd be happy to share what I know and provide some guidance.
