Hello ! I'm a 28-year-old guy from France who loves travelling. After my history studies in Nantes, I was unsure about my future but for one thing : I wanted to discover more of the world before settling down. I was lucky enough to be able to travel quite a bit in Europe when I was young, with my parents and with friends, but I still needed a big experience on my own. I took a one-way flight to New Zealand, were I spent one year with a working holiday visa. This trip was the best experience of my life, I discovered a country I knew almost nothing about and so many nice people from all around the world. Travelling became almost a necessity, and settling down for good something I'm definitively not ready for...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is something I'm really looking for, as it gathers many things I love in travels : meeting people, exchange opinions, see how people from a different country see the world. I did quite a lot of wwoofing (working for people, mostly in farm-related jobs, a few hours every day for food and accomodation) while in New Zealand, and I loved being with locals, being part of their life for a few days or weeks. Couchsurfing is based on a similar idea. You share a place for some time, but also opinions, ideas, some good time. It helps erasing the idea that a stranger is someone you shouldn't trust, and that happiness is to be found if you stay hidden and safe behind closed doors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many types of music, particularly english rock music from the sixties and seventies. But I also like folk, jazz, electro, metal, rap... I'm always curious to discover something new and original.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a kiwi bird in the wild and managed to take a picture of it ! OK, I know, it doesn't sound like much, but it's something many New Zealanders never achieved...
I also volunteered in an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in north Thailand, and it was a wonderful experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always happy to give a hand for pretty much anything, as long as it's not juggling with chainsaws. I'm not particularly good at chainsaw juggling.

Otherwise sharing experiences and stories about travels is always a pleasure.
