I am a friendly person. I like to talk about almost any issue and keep it real. I'm also a good listener. I like to be positive, and try to keep it positive in the things I do. I have a wide range of interests .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel for fun, see beautiful sights and meet new interesting people who might develop into good friends someday.

Interests

I like to be physically active, (including hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, dancing, just getting outside will do). I like to listen to music, and to play music. I play the drums, bit of guitar and can sing. I like reading, and hanging out with friends. I love to cook and eat good food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music. Some f the bands I like are: Death Cab For Cutie, The Weakerthans, Bob Marley, Alabama Shakes, The Roots, Zhu, Odesza, Bornes, Generationals, Thomas Mapfumo, Sublime, Timber Timbre, Sarah Harmer, John Mayer, K-Os, G. Love & The Special Sauce, Coldplay, Bahamas, Arcade Fire, Alt-J, The Black Seeds. I have pretty eclectic musical tastes! The main thing for me is that the music has a soul and it's not trying to push an agenda basically :)

One of my favourite books is "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. I'm currently reading "A Brief History of Seven Killings" by Marlon James.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Surfing a big wave in a sea kayak, the wave capsizing me, and then rolling back up again!!

2) Sailing to the Caribbean on a 55 foot schooner!

3) Being born :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know how to cook a bunch of awesome meals. I am a good conversationalist, and I usually add a positive vibe to the people I stay with. I can also play music for you :)
