Currently travelling with my bike from France to Armenia.

ABOUT ME

My name is Mathieu, I’m 27 and I travelled several years across Europe, Africa and South America. Since 2017 I travelling mostly with bike. I am calm and serein, and I have a tremendous thirst for discover the world, to meet new people and share with them.

PHILOSOPHY

I do researches in ethnomusicology and I have big interest for sharing music with people.

I love to discover hidden and quiet places that gave me a feeling of freedom! To me, travelling is about discover, share, tell. I am curious and interested in every little thing.

I have a huge respect for people and cultures, may they be in line with mine or not. I also enjoy debates about different ideas and opinions of each - I like more differences than similarities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am musician and I love listening many kind of music, like jazz (Davis, Molvaer, Maalouf, Henriksen, E.S.T.), classic (Rachma., Bach, Schubert, Chopin), electro-pop (Austra, Hemsey), French songs (Ferré, Brassens, Saez, Manset) or psych/prog rock (King Crimson, Alan P. Project, Queen, Pink Floyd, Archive, Radiohead) and of course traditional music. Younger I played piano but now I play trumpet.

I spend lot of time collecting songs, voices and sounds around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have crossed Mauritanian Sahara on foot, alone in the desert.
I’ve learnt how to jongle.
I’ve learnt how to sail on oceans and for long distances trip.
I have been pursued by a monkey in the Colombian selva.
I have entirely restore my old 1968 Volkswagen Combi.
I have dropped everything to realize my childhood dreams :)
And a lot of other things I have already forgotten…
