Hey there ! I'm Mathis, 23 years old and currently living in Brest, France. I've been studying computer science for two years in Lannion, and I keep doing it in Brest for three years now.
I live there with a friend of mine.

I'm also doing an internship at Arkea, a french company, as a software developer.

I'm a curious and open-minded personn, althought I tend to be a bit too shy and not really outgoing, wich is something I want to get rid off by travelling and meeting new people.

So far, I haven't realy travel by myself or with a group of friends, but I had the opportunity to do it with school or my parents in countries like UK, USA and even China

I try to pratice my english as much as I can, and I think that travelling around the world and meeting people is one of the best way to do so.

I'm currently looking for places to couch in Ireland, as I'm travelling it for the first time with a friend of mine who works at the same school ! We're visiting the country and want to discover as much as possible in a month, including meeting people and going places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I'd like to visit places I've never been before, meet people and discover new cultures. I think that couchsurfing is a very useful tool that allows us to connect to other people from all around the world, wich is why I started using it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to old music as much as recent music and I cannot travel anywhere without my headphones.
I used to listen to a lot of french electronic music like for example Daft Punk or Justice, now I'm trying to discover styles I've never been curious about such as jazz or rap. As a drummer for two years and a pianist for 8 years, I love to cover songs that I really appreciate, like Artctic Monkeys or the Red Hot.
I'm still buying vinyls of old bands that I love like Supertramp or Queen.

I love science fiction and all of its styles, therefore I love the movies of Nolan. I'm also a huge super-heroes films fan.
I also watch many shows, my favorite ones being Westworld, sense8, GoT, Rick and Morty and Peaky Blinders.

I'm currently reading Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere; I've recently read American Gods and I really liked his style, so I wanted to read more from that author.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to share and teach as much music as I can because this is something that I love and I consider that it has the power to bring people together even if they don't speak the same language. I'd also like to learn as much as possible, this is actually one of the main reasons of why I want to travel.
