Overview
About Me
Passionate about adventure and exploration, I am first and foremost an avid traveler whose journeys are guided by a deep desire to discover the world and its countless facets. As a yacht captain/skipper, I'm lucky enough to combine work and passion, sailing the seas and oceans to bridge cultures and horizons. This unique profession allows me not only to travel, but also to fully embrace the concept of slow tourism, taking the time to savor every moment, every encounter.
My travel philosophy revolves around the quest for authenticity, preferring couchsurfing to impersonal hotel stays. The experience of couchsurfing, which I have practiced many times, has always proved rewarding, forging indelible bonds with hosts from all over the world. These encounters are not just stopovers; they are windows onto lives, cultures and traditions.
I travel to meet people, immerse myself in their cultures and understand their ways of life. For me, the real treasure of a trip lies as much in the beauty of the landscapes crossed as in the richness of human exchanges and the sharing of daily lives often so different from my own. Slow tourism gives me the opportunity to fully immerse myself in each place, not as a mere spectator, but as a committed actor, curious and respectful of the diversities that make up our world.
My adventure on Couchsurfing is an extension of this thirst for authenticity and sharing. I pledge to be a gracious, open-minded host and traveler, giving as much as I receive, in a spirit of mutual respect and shared discovery. This is what defines my journey, this is what defines me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I'm looking for authentic, personal travel experiences that go beyond standard hotel stays. As a skipper, I often travel for work, but what I'm really looking for are human connections and exchanges with locals. I prefer slow tourism, as it allows me to take the time necessary to really discover the cultures, traditions and lifestyles of the people in the places I visit. Couchsurfing offers me the chance to immerse myself in local communities, create meaningful bonds and experience unique moments, far removed from the usual tourist itineraries. My choice to join this platform is guided by my desire to travel in a way that encourages sharing, mutual learning, and the authentic discovery of people and their environments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For me, every voyage is an extraordinary adventure. And the stories that come out of them are well worth telling. Over a beer, I can tell you all about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I'd like to share with my hosts goes far beyond just a roof over our heads for the night. From my various travels, I've accumulated a wealth of experiences and anecdotes that I'm always keen to share. My French culture is an essential part of me, and I'd like to share it through discussions, shared meals and, why not, by preparing a typical French dinner together to savor a bit of my country, wherever I may be in the world.
I'm all about creating good times, the kind that stay with me long after I've gone. Whether it's over a meal, on a stroll through town or simply sharing a coffee, every moment is an opportunity to exchange ideas and forge links. The festive moments are also perfect opportunities for me to immerse myself and participate fully in the lives of my hosts, always respecting their traditions and way of life.
The anecdotes about my life, often funny, sometimes moving, are the bridges I build between my hosts and myself. Each story is an invitation to plunge into my world, to understand where I come from and what led me on the road of travel. In return, I'm eager to hear my guests' stories, to discover what makes them tick, what makes them laugh or dream.
In short, on Couchsurfing, I'm looking to share a slice of life, to offer a glimpse of my world while opening up to the worlds of my hosts. For me, the real richness of travel lies in this exchange and meeting of cultures.
