ABOUT ME

If traveling and meeting new people could be my life, I'd be blessed! But most of all, I like to laugh... otherwise life is meaningless!

Now that I have finished my Master's, I am living in Shanghai to learn chinese. I am studying at Jiaotong University.

I have a passion for old buildings, architecture, archeology, history, and discovering new cultures!

Even if I am not quite sure what my job will be, I'd like to work in intercultural communication between countries or in cultural event organisation.

PHILOSOPHY

I am not a very religious person but I believe in the humankind and in tolerance towards other people's believes and culture.
I also believe a lot in self-determination : No matter what, you have the power to make the choices that define your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I am looking for nice couches to crash if I am traveling or nice people to meet in Shanghai! I defintely intend to do everything I can to give back even a small amount of the awesomeness that was given to me during my travels

Interests

- singing (use to take classes, was part of a band some time ago)
- dancing (all kinds of dance! Classic, Modern-Jazz, Salsa, Tango,... moving your body in a nigthclub also counts as fun!)
- listening to music (sad I can't play, I would like to learn how to play the guitar) I guess it's like everybody but I am one of those people who is living her life in music!
- reading a lot (I am addicted to fantasy novels with magic, dwarves and monsters!)
- travelling (especially with good friends around me)
- laughing (of course!)

I have to admit that I loved the lord of the rings and Harry Potter, but who doesn't?

I loved the book "Mercure" by Amelie Notomb and the novel "La nuit des temps" by Barjavel.

The Monty Python and Jonlajoie are my references in humour.

In music I like kind of pop/rock/folk artists such as Regina Spektor, K's choice, Suzanne Vega, Camera Obscura, Sia, Kate Nash, Florence + The Machine, ...
But I am very open to other genres, I also listen to RnB, Soul, Hard Rock, Classic, and some traditional/ethnic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

No, I haven't met russell crowe, yet! ;-)
But I think scubadiving in the great barrier reef in Australia was probably one of the most impressive moments of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I can lead a "laughing club-session". It's sort of a laughing yoga, Laughing for nothing during an hour.
- When I am in a foreign country I like to discover very small and cosy places which nobody knows about.
- I speak chinese... a bit...
- I can teach french ;-)
