Travelling by train to Sweden
ABOUT ME
I love travelling, trekking, riding my bicycle and board games. I think the Thames Barrier is soo cool and I can play almost the entire McGyver theme song on piano.
I am quite chatty and I´ll argue passionately in any political discussion, for equality between sexes, more open immigration rules and less consumption of cheap clothes from sweatshops in Asia, but I tend to catch myself not living up to my high-held standards. Instead, I am happiest when spending time with good friends, being in the outdoors, hearing a REALLY good song or going to a nice coffee shop, getting a slice of cake and a cup of tea and reading the weekend newspapers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in London and have decided to try to travel by train more often back home to Sweden, rather than flying. I could take a night-train but I quite like to stay for one or two nights on the way. I stayed with friends in Berlin once and couchsurfed in Hamburg once.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The Hamburg and Amsterdam couchsurfs are the only times I have used the couchsurfing website, but my brother has hosted a few people in his house in Southern Sweden and a few friends have couchsurfed as well. I have many friends from around the world since working as a volunteer in Costa Rica, and so living in London I occasionally let friends of friends stay in the househsare where I live, and me and my family used to host fellow volunteers who would celebrate Christmas with us. I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing about different cultures, and learning a word or two of a new language!
