Overview
About Me
Hey, Couchsurfers! I am Martin from Bratislava, Slovakia. I am currently living and working in Georgia 🇬🇪 , 30 mins away from Tbilisi, in a settlement for internally displaced persons (Tserovani IDP Settlement). I am spending a year here working on a development project until the end of summer 2019. After that, I will be moving for another project to Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷 for a year. Before this, I was living in Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹 doing an internship with social startup/incubator Impact Hub Vienna through European Voluntary Service (EVS).
I am based in Georgia and often traveling in Caucasus and to it’s regions, nature as well as big cities. Mostly, I go for these trips all by myself since I truly believe in spending some time in solitude in nature is one of the best ways how to reconnect with oneself.
I would be happy to host you (I am renting a house and have two spare rooms), to show you how the war affected communities in Georgia live and give you some travel tips. It’s very safe and calm environment, no need to worry about that. Peace! ✌🏼
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I love exploring places and getting to know new people, I decided to try Couchsurfing. I hope to find new friends, share stories, and get to know the local cultures wherever I am.
