Overview
About Me
I work as a science teacher in mid-coast Maine. I have 3 kids: 2 little girls and a 19-year old son we adopted from Ethiopia. I love doing just about anything outside. In 2005 I walked across the US from east to west. My wife and I have lived/worked at orphanages in Mexico.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My neighbor is a veteran couch-surfer. His stories of meeting his best friend and finding jobs while couch surfing made me want to give it a try. Once in a while I go to teacher workshops and conferences around the state. I'd rather make a new friend than stay in a depressing motel room!
Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've walked coast-to-coast across the US in a year. Camped out the whole way, met some amazing people, learned what it's like to be alone for a long time. Loved it!
