I’m a recently graduated student who has decided to go overseas for a few months before returning home to look for employment. I am a keen and genuine person passionate about food and people. This is my first time travelling solo and I have a room available for surfers back in New Zealand that I intend to open up when I return! I am more than willing to reciprocate if anyone who hosts me would like to travel to NZ and stay with me in return for your generosity!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couch surfing as I am an extremely personable individual and have not travelled alone before so would love to meet people as I go! I like the opportunity to travel on my own but at the same time like to meet and make connections around the world so I don’t get lonely.

I grew up with Harry Potter and have somehow retained an abnormal amount of Harry Potter trivia related knowledge. I wouldn’t call myself a super fan but challenge anyone to compete with my knowledge of the books/movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in an 18 month World Challenge program that finished with a 28 day expedition to Thailand and Cambodia. There I hiked through hill tribe villages, explored a number of attractions and volunteered in a Cambodian orphanage.

Teach, Learn, Share

I completed my university degree by writing a masters thesis on the problems relating to global trafficking of illegal commodities. This is something I am passionate about and enjoy spreading awareness as well as teaching people about the associated risks if they are interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to chat, I’m am passionate about conversation and reasonably knowledgeable so enjoy to talk about a variety of topics! I particularly enjoy advocating for travel to New Zealand as it is a beautiful country but a long way from the places I visit. I am also clean and tidy and respect that hosts may want to keep to themselves so can happily entertain myself if that is my hosts preference.
