About Me

Once upon a time six years ago, I taught English in a primary school in Wuhan, China. After completing the year contract, I went back to Canada, got my degree, and now have incumbent travel plans to live and teach in Taiwan in Hsinchu county!
Drop by once I've settled in and I'd be happy to let you couch-surf!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first get to Taiwan, I think I'll need to couch surf for a few days until I find a place to live! I've always been curious about couchsurfing, and plan to become a part of the community!

Interests

Reading, music (playing and listening), beer, discussions over coffee or beer, food of all kinds, rock climbing (I've done some indoor stuff, nothing outside yet!), bicycling, going to the movies and eating buttery popcorn is one of my favourite things!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh god, I probably shouldn't fill this up too extensively...
Music: From classical to metal, or post rock to jazz. There's not much I don't enjoy - I'm not big on pop or rap, but there's still some I enjoy.

Books: Wilde, Lovecraft, Daniel Defoe, Jim Butcher, Orson S. Card, Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke... I could go on. I love books.

Movies: I watch a lot of them.. I'm not sure that I could name a favourite! I'm big into sci-fi and noir films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's so cheezy, gimicky, that I hesitate to mention this, but after walking along the Great Wall of China, at the terminus point, there was the option to zip-line off of the Great Wall of China. Of course, I zip-lined off the Great Wall of China. It felt wrong, but oh so right.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what to fill in here!
I'm an open book, let's figure this part out together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Again, not sure what to fill in here!
I'll come back to this once I've browsed the site a bit! :D
