I'm Matt, 28 (nearly 29 but the less I think about that the better). Grew up in the UK and moved to Australia when I was still at school and predominantly lived in South East Queensland.

Spent most of my life playing a huge amount of sports but grew up mostly as a soccer and basketball player and have a habit of nerding out if I get into discussions about them, and I'm virtually the same with video games and esports.

I've worked in a bunch of different industries so I find that I can relate to a lot of people's work lives, but I've spent most of my time working in bottleshops so if you're needing wine suggestions, I'm usually pretty good for that.

I did briefly dabble in Spanish & German for 2-3 years while I was at school and have always found languages fun, so Spanish is something I plan on picking up again once I'm settled back in on home soil.

I'm someone that always tries to have fun, but am very respectful of personal spaces and boundaries so that's not something you'll need to worry about with me. Also, if you have dogs, I would like to be friends with your dogs :)

Grew up as a Lord of the Rings kid which, to be honest, is not something I've ever grown out of. I have watched all of the extended editions of the the Middle Earth movies (yes, that includes the Hobbit movies) in one sitting multiple times and would not hesitate doing it again.

I am a rather large enjoyer of British comedy shows like Young Ones and Blackadder (tbh most things with Rowan Atkinson in) but will happily watch most things that aren't reality tv.

I'm not sure that there is any way of describing my music taste other than very fluid, which could easily change within a couple of days. Lately I've been enjoying random Japenese jazz artists I come across, can't explain how or why that started but it's been an interesting experience.

I don't really have a lot to teach people unless you find very faded martial arts knowledge or far too in-depth tactical sports/esports analysis or wine knowledge interesting. And I could probably teach you most national flags, if for some reason you felt the desire to learn what they are.
