I am a 26 year old traveler that works in Alaska each summer as a Tour Director for Princess Cruise Line. In my "off-season" I travel to new countries. I am relocating to New Zealand for 2016 and I am so excited to experience everything that country has to offer.

Getting started in a new country is difficult and expensive. I am couch surfing for two reasons: to meet new, interesting people, and save some money while I look for a flat.

I am a big folk and bluegrass fan, and as cliche' as it sounds, I really can listen to anything. As far as movies go, anything Wes Anderson makes I am a fan of, also really enjoy espionage films. My favorite book recently is Inherent Vice by Thomas Pynchon (the film is also really good).

Camping in the backcountry of Denali National Park in Alaska is amazing to me. Not because its a huge challenge, but because the wilderness out there has the ability to change your life, and it has done that to me.
