29 years old, 3rd year veterinary medical student, semi hilarious joke teller, enthusiastic verbal re-creator of events, good listener, loyal, and smiley. I like to enjoy life and be silly, but know when to be serious and get down to work.

PHILOSOPHY

I can either make this world a better place or I can waste my time here. I prefer to live boldly, help everywhere I can, learn as much as I can, and laugh while I make others laugh. Life is too short to be angry, selfish, and ignorant.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to follow the golden rule and things tend to work out really well. Treat people how you would want to be treated. Or better yet, treat someone the way that you would want someone to treat your grandma. Love and respect go a LONG way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done lots of CS'ing growing up and with friends in college. People have the potential to be amazing and be a highlight in other's lives. If someone is willing to let you crash on their couch, they are most likely one of those amazing people and they want to meet other interesting people who will leave them better off than when they found them.

Interests

I love to listen to music, I enjoy anything that involves water (surfing, scuba diving, swimming, etc.), I am an avid snowboarder, I am an animal enthusiast (especially exotic animals), and I can't seem to get enough time outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Comedy and action on the tv or in the theater. I do enjoy the occasional drama or romantic movie. The Office, Burn Notice, Friends, Dexter, Go On, 2 Broke Girls, Lie to Me, We're the Millers, Sahara, Zoolander, The Rundown, Marely and Me, I am Legend,...wow this could go on forever. If it has Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, either of the Owen brothers, Vince Vaughn, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Hanks, Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Denzel Washington, The Rock, Jason Statham, Will Smith, Ben Stiller, Mel Gibson, or Leonardo DiCaprio in it, then I will watch it.

I totally geek out on quality vet med textbooks.

I like most music. I grew up on rap and country but love hard rock. So there is room for just about everything in between. If it is fast-paced then I often like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked with and cared for lions, tigers, and bears. These three animals in their own special ways have changed my life and continue to inspire me to keep pressing on with veterinary medicine.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about animals, domestic and exotic, large and small. I know about them medically and behaviorally. I love to talk about them and teach others about them and most importantly how to take great care of them and give them the best life that they deserve. I have dedicated my life and my career to taking care of them and teaching others how to do the same. I always want to learn more about them as well.
