Hello Couchsurfing community!

My name is Matt, I'm from the US on the east coast (near New York City), and I like to travel. I've heard great things about couchsurfing from my friends, and I want to try it out.

I love biking (biked across the US), cooking, hiking, and getting to see new places.

I don't smoke, although I don't mind if others do, and I'm relaxed and quiet - generally out of the way, although I can certainly enjoy a good conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends have told me great things about hosting (in New York, Portland, Vermont, and Richmond) as well as visiting (Istanbul, Rome, Venice, and many other places), and I'd love to get to try this way of traveling myself. When I have a better opportunity, I would like to host as well.

Bicycled across the US - a little over 3k miles (5k km) over 2.5 months
