ABOUT ME

I'm Matt Benyo! Together with my best friend, Chelsea Kirchoff, we can't get enough of traveling. We don't have much money, but we're looking to have some great experiences and meet some interesting people. I'm 21 years old, 6 feet tall, tan, and nice. I'm a jack of all trades and dabble in the arts. During the summer, I'm the assistant director of an art camp (and Chelsea is the drawing and painting instructor). Chelsea and I both work at the Detroit Metro Airport (Code: DTW) in an art and design shop called Pangborn Design. I love to cook and I love food. I also love concerts and movies. I like to try new things and take risks. Additionally, I am a full time student attending the University of Michigan Ann Arbor majoring in Pharmacy and I'm starting my senior year this fall. Chelsea graduated from the College for Creative Studies with a BFA in illustration.

Matt hogged this all about you section and didn't even mention ME. I'm blonde, 5'4", and laugh a lot. Matt does too actually, but I feel like I'm always laughing. I love making, seeing, creating art! I also love pizza. Meeting new people is always an incredible experience so I hope to meet a lot on our travels.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far we have only surfed; haven't hosted. During last summer we spent a month surfing through various countries in Europe and we found it to be a great experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Chelsea and I surfed through France, Italy, and England during the summer of 2012. The people that hosted us gave us great advice on where to go and what to do, which made our experiences that much better.

I was an extra in the movie Real Steel and became close friends with Hugh Jackman. It was an experience unlike anything else and as a result, Chelsea and I went to Hugh Jackman's apartment in New York City and had lunch with his family and played football with him and his family afterwards.
