About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to establish a good couch stay where people get to experience life on a market garden even though it is early days maybe surfers can participate in livening up the experience

ABOUT ME

I am pretty open minded and green thumbed. Down to earth and/or up in the clouds.

PHILOSOPHY

Better life experience through a closeness to nature. I am interested in warm and humane architecture in oppose to sterile modernity. Simple things. I am interested in permaculture in a non worship sense. I try to be pragmatic. I don't like being pushed into any beliefs and in return don't force my ideas on anyone. I am fairly liberal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to be a host to a eco farm stay couch experience where surfers participate and volunteer in enriching the experience, or just go about doing their own thing. I suppose I have a low maintenance mind and I won't be offering much other than sociability and sharing of ideas. Living conditions basic but very acceptable for a couch surfer. I am open to ideas about permaculture, studied a little bit of it and I am a big fan of 'a pattern language' - for all you architects. I believe if we practice these things we can enhance life quality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never had much to do with couch surfing but heard good things. Been oversees and would like to have found something like I am offering here personally.

Interests

I can do all sorts of things. I try to accumulate talents and have lately drawn my attention to trades - I'm not quite Jack of all trades but I certainly am master of few.

  • architecture
  • gardening
  • surfing
  • volunteering

Music, Movies, and Books

Studied film for a while so I can talk a little about that. I like french films, I like practical books like chelsea green publishing. I hold one bible and it is called 'A Pattern Language'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being dad to my baby girl

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a few gurus who have taught me a lot about natural building, eco-farming, raising kids and a huge amount about life in a relatively short period of time. I would like to think of myself as being somebody else's guru someday. My beard will have to be pretty long by then.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Cook Islands, Czech Republic, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
