Recruiting Trip-Planners for Tripzaar.com
If I could describe myself in a paragraph I would. To put it simply - I love to learn new things, see new things, and try new things. I'm into technology, startups, and business - but my true passion is the outdoors.
I raced mountain bikes through highschool, love hiking, mountain biking, photography, hockey, football (soccer), and frankly anything outdoors!
I can have a sarcastic sense of humour - and I love PUNS.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I just signed up. In the future I will be looking at surfing primarily, as I likely won't have a place myself, but when my travelling days are over, I would love to become a host!
I've slept on many couches in my day - unfortunately none have them have been with couchsurfers ....yet.
Sports - (hockey, football/soccer, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, canoeing, golf)
Photography, Writing, Technology and business (startups),
- outdoor activities
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Currently enjoying Mumford and Sons, Monsters and Men, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Eminem, NeedtoBreathe, and so many more.
Movies - Skyfall was unreal, Dark Knight Rises was awesome. I own over 140 films - I love my movies.
Books - I prefer reading books on business, entrepreneurship, and even the odd book on education. Current book is 'Linchpin' by Seth Godin
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favourite trips so far was to Fort William, Scotland, and the summit of Ben Nevis. We took the CMD Arete route, and it was one of the toughest things my group had ever done (we were out of shape). The views were amazing (Austria was better view-wise) and the sense of accomplishment was over-whelming. I'm sure I will trump this experience in my future, but as it stands it is one of the most amazing things I have done to date.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you were to read my blog, you would notice I write about several things (beyond travel and photography). Those are, education, technology and startup businesses, and design. I love learning and teaching about design and technology, and in particular how to make something user-friendly and easy to use. That being said, I've learned many things from my days travelling that I would love to share too.
I really want to learn about the cultures that make cities what they are. I love learning anything that is new - and I like people - watching to understand behaviours, and actions.
